our process explained
Our preferred method for upholstery is steam cleaning using a special cleaning solutions meant to prevent any color changes, bleeding, browning and shrinkage. The process typically starts with a thorough vacuuming of the upholstery to remove any loose dirt or debris. Next a cleaning solution is applied to the fabric which is then agitated with to ensure it penetrates the fibers. After the solution has had time to work, the upholstery is steamed cleaned and extracted of all water and debris.
After the cleaning is completed, furniture will be dried as soon as possible to prevent the growth of mildew, which can happen if the fabric is not dried properly. One of the benefits of steam cleaning is the removal of dust mites, bacteria, and other allergens. As well as neutralizing embarrassing pet odors. Which is especially important for people with allergies or asthma.
Upholstery steam cleaning is suitable for a wide range of fabrics, including synthetic materials, microfiber, and natural fibers like cotton and wool, but it may not be suitable for some delicate or sensitive fabrics so it's always recommended to check with the manufacturer's cleaning instructions or consult with professional cleaners such as Gold Standard before proceeding.
